Heart Disease

heart pavementSCTT is part of the National Advisory Committee on Heart Disease. This ensures digital technology is considered and appropriately used, in the redesign of services for patients with heart disease across both acute and rehabilitation pathways in Primary and Secondary Care in Scotland.

The priorities in the Heart Disease Improvement Plan (Scottish Government 2014), can only be met by including access to services using digital technology.

SCTT are already working in partnership to achieve this, examples include:

  • Modernising access to Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • Screening for Atrial Fibrillation in Primary Care
